What is your favorite thing about working at Portacool?
My favorite thing about working at Portacool is the atmosphere. I love how we are all one family working for a common goal. When one member of our family hurts, we all do. When one of us celebrates something great in our lives, we all turn up!!!
What is your favorite memory from your time at Portacool so far?
My favorite memory from Portacool so far would be the opening of Portacool Park. Being a part of a small community, I remember how excited everyone was about this new attraction. We now had walking trails, a new field, and tons of new playground equipment for the kids. But my favorite part about that day was watching my then three-year-old son gallop around everyone in his Kuul tshirt on his Rocking Rider Pony.
From your perspective, what would you say are Portacool’s greatest accomplishments over the years?
Our greatest accomplishments would be our growth. Not just in our products – from the Portacool Classic line to the new streamline Portacool Jetstream and Portacool Cyclones – but as a company. We now have company festivals/events that our families can all enjoy with us. We have interns each summer. When I started 16 years ago there was no such thing as an intern program. We offer tuition reimbursement (how awesome is that???)! The way Portacool invests back into our community and our team members to me is our greatest accomplishment.
